The Marina has been constructed and is managed by Residential Marine Limited. The owner, Denis Swann, his wife Jill and son Jake live at Port Werburgh on their boat, Anserava. They play an active role in the management of the company and are dedicated to seeing that these residential moorings offer the best value in England.
The marina itself has 270 comfortable berths, with all facilities available. The wide access pontoons are well lit at night. Berths 50ft and up have four strong steel piles at each corner to which a vessel can be securely moored. They are also suitable as warping points making it easier to manoevre. There is ample landscaped carparking adjacent to the pontoons.
Set in rural, landscaped surroundings with a woodland backdrop, the site is already home to a range of unique vessels ranging from historic lightships and ex-naval craft to coasters and tugs offering more accommodation than the average detached house.
DIY work is encouraged whether the project is repainting a 40 foot cruiser or completely transforming a 120ft deep sea trawler; or let Swann Marine organise everything for you…. from sourcing a suitable vessel to arranging delivery, through the design and conversion stages to provide advice on costs, insurance and legal matters.
The village of Hoo St Werburgh, where there are excellent services, is only a short walk away. There are supermarkets and other shops as well as a medical centre and dentists’ surgery. Opportunities for sports enthusiasts are exceptional and the Hoo Ness Yacht Club is next door. Other facilities in the village include a swimming pool with squash courts, a public golf course and an indoor bowls centre. There is also a wide range of pubs. Driving to London generally takes only 40 minutes – longer in rush hours – and there is easy access to the motorway routes of the M2, M20 and M25. The Dartford Bridge and Tunnel are only 20 minutes away and it takes an hour to reach Dover and the Channel Tunnel.
